BIM/CAD Designer

Job Description:

Quality Air is the premier HVAC construction, service and building automation mechanical contractor in West Michigan. We are searching for an individual who will lead our building information modeling (BIM) efforts and use the capabilities of BIM to propel our organization forward. The successful candidate will possess the ability to work closely, and communicate effectively, with other team members, manage multiple deadlines, and be forward thinking with the ability to develop strategy and implement processes that leverages BIM technology. The BIM/CAD Designer will interact with our sales, engineering, fabrication, and installation teams regularly as well as our external customers so excellent communication skills are a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead BIM/technology initiative
  • Produce HVAC construction and fabrication models
  • Participate in BIM project meetings
  • Maintain and develop BIM standards and procedures
  • Utilize available resources to enhance BIM development and productivity
  • Stay current with the BIM technology

Education/Experience:

  • Certificate/Associates Degree or related education in Computer Drafting/Mechanical Design or commensurate experience and demonstrated proficiency
  • Experience in AutoDesk CAD drafting related to AEC field. Strong candidates will be provided the necessary training to expand their capabilities to satisfy the job requirements. 
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Revit
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD MEP
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Fabrication CADmep
  • Familiarity with Navisworks Manager

Salary will be commensurate with proficiency and experience.
